We are expecting puppies this spring! Our Dinda da Boa Sorte has just been bred to Jagunco da Boa Sorte (owned by Somraultrajaunte Kennel thanks so much Katrina!!!) This is a pedigree full of old school Boa Sorte dogs of the highest caliber. Beleza, Huna, Oleiro, Cafe and even Pantera (sister to Palma- my first true fila bitch born in 1989) are all here. Jagunco is a Malandro granson adding an outcross of some exceptional Caramona dogs. I am expecting some truly exceptional puppies with correct fila ojeriza and a higher energy level than I have seen lately in my filas. |

Its been a few days since Ive updated this blog, but I guess I can be forgiven- Dinda's puppies are here! We have a total of 8, five males and 3 females, all healthy and happy baby fila's. There is even a little guy trimmed in chrome- bear and Dinda reached deep into the bench for that one as I do not usually produce this color pattern. But my oh my is he a beauty. Even tho his markings are a negative by the FCI, and to a lesser extent the CAFIB standard, he still looks so sharp with his white collar and stocking. |

Its confirmed, Dinda is going to have puppies. I am thrilled and am counting the weeks until they are here! Start saving those wall street journals and NY Times (they make the best puppies papers and everyone wants a well read fila puppy!!) |

I bred Dinda a Boa Sorteto Carioca's Urso Vermelho (aka Red Bear) the last week of December 2010 and I believe she is showing signs of being pregnant! This is the breeding that I envisioned when I brought Dinda home last March. So keep your fingers crossed and watch this page for more updates. Feel free to call or email me with questions. |

I am excited to report that Dinda da Boa Sorte will be bred to an outstanding male Carioca's Urso Vermelho (aka Red Bear) Our good friends Arianna and Mike will be comng with Bear and his "sister" Hagen right after Christmas. What a wonderful Christmas present and a terrific way to begin a new year. Carioca Fila Brasileiro's wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! |
